Fun for Families

Prattville and Autauga County are full of fun activities for families to enjoy, no matter what the season.

The city of Prattville operates a public swimming pool during the warm weather months – at no charge to residents.

The city is also home to a number of soccer, softball, basketball and baseball leagues that help keep boys and girls active and fit. Probably the most well-known league is Prattville Dixie Youth Baseball, a highly organized league that’s open to a number of age groups, with games and tournaments stretching from late March to early November.

The Single A division in Prattville Dixie Youth Baseball is open to ages 5-6; the Double A division is for ages 7-8; the Triple A is for ages 9-10; Dixie Youth for ages 11-12; Dixie Boys for ages 13-14; and Dixie Majors for ages 15-18. One of the primary goals of the league is to provide the best recreational baseball program at the lowest possible cost to families who participate.

At Emerald Falls Adventure Park, families can partake in fun activities such as mini-golf, go-karts, bumper boats, batting cages and paintball. The park is open seven days a week, and every Sunday is Family Fun Day with reduced prices.

Wonder World Family Fun Center also provides a variety of activities seven days a week.

For a creative and quieter sort of outing, the downtown art gallery P’zazz offers year-round classes for kids and adults, along with summer camps for children. The gallery welcomes artists of all ages to stop by and explore their creative sides.
