The hunt for lots in Hunt’s Alley continues.
Ever since early 2007, history lovers have been part of a building boom taking place in this downtown section of Prattville. The neighborhood is in an area between Prattville City Hall and the Autauga County Courthouse, and it features several narrow, shotgun-style, wood-framed houses that were used by millworkers in the early 1900s.
Today, two-acre tracts are going for about $30,000, with homes priced at around $150,000. Several of the old houses are now occupied by businesses, and other residential developments are cropping up near the Hunt’s Alley area.
